August 26, 2009 - Complete success for the first edition of the « Concours d’Élégance Le Mirage 2009 » which generated a total of $251,000.
Under a blazing sun, hundred of the most prestigious classic cars of Canada captured the admiring eyes of a public estimated at 1200 persons and seven judges of international level gathered last Sunday to the Mirage Golf Club.
Created to serve as a financing campaign to the Andre-Delambre Foundation, which the mission is to help in search of a vaccine to cure the SLA, this first event met the favour and the admiration of the professionals and the public amateur of beautiful cars. Yvon Deschamps and Judy Richards as well as Jacques Duval and Pierre Marchand presented their classic cars. Pierre Houde assured the animation of the day.
Organized in association with two big clubs VEA (Vintage European Automobile) and VAQ (Vintage Automobile of Quebec), the day was under René Angélil’s presidency of honor, surrounded with his two copresidents of honor Jacques Villeneuve and Pierre Marchand.
Proud of this success, the Andre-Delambre Foundation plans the second edition in 2010.
