Concours d’Élégance Le Mirage Contest Rules

  1. To be entered in the contest, collection cars must be 25 years or older.
  2. All entries must be original, in contest condition (level 1 or 2) and be able to be paraded under normal conditions during the awards ceremony.
  3. Up to two cars may be displayed by the same owner.
  4. Contest participants agree to compete in the event at their own risk and accept to sign an entry form that includes a waiver prior to being admitted to the event.
  5. Cars must be on site before 9 a.m. the day of the contest.
  6. Entries will be divided into two groups: American cars chosen by VAQ (Voitures Anciennes du Québec) and European cars chosen by VEA (Vintage European Automobiles). An out-of-competition category for exotic cars will be overseen by Guy Véronneau and Alain Lemay (Le Mirage Golf Club). The final choice will be at the discretion of the Organizing Committee of the Fondation André-Delambre (FAD) event.
  7. Cars will be chosen by the contest team based on this year’s theme and on selected criteria of rarity, design, beauty and interest.
  8. Outstanding reproductions may be accepted for display but are not eligible to compete for a prize.
  9. The contest jury will be made up of experts from the world of car collectors.
  10. Cars will be judged on “select” criteria (rarity, design, beauty, elegance) and not on technical merits (conformance, restoration and performance).
  11. A jury member may not vote for his or her own car.
  12. The winner of the “Prix du public” will be determined by the general public.
  13. The winner of the “Prix d’Élégance” will be chosen by two (or more) automotive fashion collaborators and awarded to the team with the most elegant period attire.
  14. In addition to the two awards above, eight other prizes will be awarded, based on this year’s theme and on the criteria of rarity, design, beauty and interest.
  15. Winning entries will be identified with ribbons and be paraded in the afternoon at the awards ceremony.
  16. No animals allowed on site.
